The magic of a folded sheet of paper, the soothing curve of the Die Sofa.
Designer: Zhang Shiqi Year: 2021
The Fold Sofa showcases its origami-inspired folded curves with thick piped stitching along the sides. Its rounded, plump silhouette exudes warmth and comfort, while the slightly wrinkled piping lends the entire piece a relaxed, effortless vibe.
The generous 70cm seat depth offers ample space to stretch out, perfect for all kinds of relaxed lounging postures. Whether you’re sitting cross-legged or taking a quick nap, it provides more than enough room to get comfortable.
The Fold Sofa takes its inspiration from the art of origami. A single sheet of paper, when curled and folded, forms a gently curved shape; this form is scaled up to create the sofa’s cross-sectional contour, which fits perfectly with the human sitting posture. Its rounded, plump silhouette exudes a sense of warmth and comfort.
The Fold Sofa adopts a modular design, consisting of three components: an ottoman, a single-seat unit, and a corner unit. You can create various configurations tailored to your space and personal preferences, making it flexible and versatile for any usage scenario.
The curves of the seat and backrest fit the human body perfectly. Built with a solid wood frame and padded with high-density sponge, the sofa delivers a soft yet supportive seating experience that keeps you comfortable even during long hours of use.
The Fold Sofa boasts an elegant silhouette even from the back. It looks equally stunning when placed in an open-plan living room, with flexible placement options to suit different layouts.
