Capturing the form of eave architecture, hiding the beauty of ancient construction.
Designer: ZhouAnbin Year: 2021
The Yanxia Dining Table draws its inspiration from the eave structures of ancient buildings—eaves, as an essential element of traditional Chinese architecture, embody much of its artistic charm. The designer distills the staggered layers and flowing lines of classic eaves into a minimalist yet powerful modern furniture form. More than a practical long table for your space, it is a functional artwork that carries the essence of Eastern architectural aesthetics.
The staggered structure of the table legs replicates the architectural essence of ancient eaves. Its matte wooden surface preserves the warm tactility of natural grain, exuding understated elegance that seamlessly integrates into diverse interiors, from New Chinese and Modern Minimalist to Wabi-Sabi styles.
When used as a tea table, gather around the Yanxia Dining Table to brew and savor tea. The wood grain interplays with bamboo shadows, evoking the serene ambiance of sitting beneath the eaves of an ancient mansion, allowing Chinese elegance to flow naturally in contemporary spaces. As a desk, it infuses the study with a tranquil, refined aura, providing a peaceful atmosphere for focused work. When serving as a dining table, its spacious surface accommodates delicious meals and lively conversations, elevating the dining area with an air of sophisticated grace.
It artfully blends the warm texture of natural wood grain with the delicate luster of champagne gold metal. The champagne gold metal lines exude an understated glow—unostentatious and refined—adding a touch of sophisticated luxury to the wood’s warmth. The interplay between metal and wood, balancing rigidity and softness, endows the tabletop with both natural charm and modern elegance.
Whether placed in the center of the space or against the wall, its linear beauty can be admired from every angle, naturally becoming the visual focal point of the room.
