The Banbai% Sofa is more than just a seat—it is an emotional anchor for your space. Whether placed in a modern minimalist living room, a wabi-sabi style lounge, or an artistically inspired open area, it blends seamlessly into any setting, becoming a subtle yet thought-provoking focal point. It is both a functional piece of everyday furniture and a design work that carries the imprints of our times.
在能源短缺与疫情笼罩的时代背景下，家具工厂限电与物流船运停滞成为了常态，大量的半成品家具堆积在工厂的各个角落。设计师在走访工厂的过程中看见这一现状后开始反思，我们能否以 50% 的状态与加工工艺来满足人们 100% 的使用体验与审美需求？
Against the backdrop of an era plagued by energy shortages and the pandemic, power rationing at furniture factories and halted logistics shipping became the norm, leaving a glut of semi-finished furniture scattered across factory floors. Witnessing this scene during factory visits, the designers began to reflect: Can we meet people’s 100% demands for usage experience and aesthetic appeal with just 50% of the usual production processes and finish?

The Half-Hundred% Collection explores the dynamic and relationship between 50% and 100%. Through a striking, contradictory visual impact, it aims to provoke people’s attention and reflection on the world beyond their daily lives.
半佰正是采用了沙发工厂最为基础的材料：多层实木板、蛇簧以及编织弹力带。通过设计的手法，以及精湛的手艺与全心全意的态度为其赋予超越成品家具的体验以及观感。
同时设计师希望看到这件作品的观众与家具行业从事者能够有所触动与反思，并且能够记住我们当下所经历过的时刻。
The Half-Hundred% draws on the most fundamental materials of sofa manufacturing: multi-layer solid wood boards, sinuous springs, and woven elastic webbing. Through thoughtful design, exquisite craftsmanship and wholehearted dedication, it delivers an experience and aesthetic that surpass those of fully finished furniture.At the same time, the designers hope that both audiences who encounter this work and professionals in the furniture industry will be inspired to reflect— and to hold close the moments we are living through right now.
